Warren Westcott, Vice President of Sales, has been with Golden Shovel Agency since May 2018. In that time, he has grown from Territory Sales Manager to National Sales Manager, and now Vice President of Sales. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Iowa State University in Mass Communication and Media Studies. While in college, he had a long-term internship with what is now the Iowa Economic Development Authority in Des Moines. Warren’s video production background prepared him well for working closely with video prospects/clients and the PlaceVR team.

Warren’s day-to-day responsibilities include setting goals for the sales team leading new sales strategies, assisting the digital production team with prospect or client-specific information, and offering feedback on marketing materials. He also coaches the sales team, works with strategic business partners, and represents Golden Shovel Agency and PlaceVR at industry meetings and conferences. Warren’s favorite project so far has been working with a client in Oregon to design multiple websites for their region and produce five unique 360-degree VR videos.

Warren’s favorite moment in working with economic development organizations was capturing sixteen client and strategic partner interviews at two regional economic development conferences, where he was amazed to hear about their unique experiences and insights from working with Golden Shovel (you can view those videos here).

Warren currently lives in Cologne, Minnesota with his wife and three kids. They like to travel, play games, fish, have family movie nights, check out new restaurants, enjoy time with their pets, and work outside on landscaping.
